So tell me, what areas are you working on at the moment?

I've got a few pans in the fire.

I've been working on some of the concepts Matt put forward.

Rebounds. Tricky little buggers. I'm getting better at hitting the chucks harder without hurting my hand - it's something to do with controlling the throw more, so the spin has less momentum behind it when you hit it for the rebound.

Horizontal wheels. I've been trying this with fingers as Matt does, and thumbs, as C Nasty does. Still finding it tough going, but I am making slow progress.

The aerial into the wheel. Basically, this is using the wheel as a type of catch, and requires quite amazing timing and co-ordination with both hands. Currently, I can catch the aerial onto one finger and just roll out of it, but I can't get the left hand around and over in time to slide into the wheel properly. I can do enough to see how he does it, but I can't yet make that last step.

This area has also spurred me to practice different types of catch generally. Near stick catches, far stick catches, wrist roll catches, fold catches, and catapults.

I'm getting more controlled with my catapults, which is nice, because then I can start using them in flow more. Elbow catapults, ankle catapults, and today I've been trying a both-wrist catapult which is interesting.

I realised that there's one of my passes I've never tried the other way before (stupid!) - my behind the back and under the leg, can be done the other way too, which looks neat.

That's about it for now, that's what I'm trying to get down.

So how about you, what're you practicing?

- Horizontal figure-8 wristspins left
- Horizontal figure-8 wristspins double handed
- Handswitches while doing horizontal figure 8 wristspins
(switching hands when at the highest/lowest points of the line)
- The off-time horizontal figure 8 move

- Some footwork when mucking around outside

- Hardspin aerial behind the shoulder right
- Hardspin aerial behind the shoulder left
- Behind the back aerial with the right hand

- Repetition of all moves I've ever learned so far

Doubles Weaves - Forward and Reverse and smooth transitions between the two.
Buzzsaw Add-in to Weave - the only name Ive heard this called is a poist calling it the mexican weave. If you look at my Nights of Practice post, you'll see what I mean. Basic weave with two beats on buzzsaw inbetween.
Passes to Cascade - Difficult to do seamless and neatly (also on Nights of Practice post).
Aerials - BTB catch and throws, plus doing some left like I can right.
Finger Flips - With left hand, my right is pretty good now lol.

Also plan to work on some of matt's concepts like Kriztov, havent got around to them yet.

ive mainly been working on my footwork and my flairs. i feel that i was too stationary, always standing in one place and facing the same direction. all i seem to be doing is trying all the moves i know, but moving about while im doing them.

some things are very hard to move about while your doing them, and im finding new flairs that i aint seen no one else do, like the cartwheel with a wrist spin and the head spring with double chucks.

i have also been working on ALOT of tutorials for here and domorepoi.com, all of them in gif format.

i hope you havent fallen out with me K because of all the work ive done for domorepoi, i have always known i would eventualy post them here too. its just it is very easy for me to upload them to domorepoi, and it has never crashed, and i have access to the server to up things directly to there witch makes it alot easyer. plus i have unlimited upload space there too.

also, it was invisible to the public untill i was happy with it, it would look messy as hell here if i was to do it, and i probs get alot of critisizum and unwanted comments witch i would probs get sick of replying "its not finnished yet" too  undecided

if i where to post the tuts here, it would literaly take ages. i would have to up them to photobucket and then link them all up. and i have very little time to do that atm because im in training for a comp in may, and im decorating my house just now too. what ive done so far for domorepoi has taken me 3 months, and thats doing it the easy way.

i was also asked to do the tuts for domorepoi, and they have helped me no end with my poi, so it was nice to give something back.

freestyleforum is my online home, i will eventualy put all the tuts here, but it could be alot easyer for me to do.

the last thing i wanted was to peev anyone off, i done this to help people and i was hoping people would help by adding to it.

peace out dude, soz if i have peeved you off, it was not my intention

Double nunchuck basics.

Really just playing around with the basics, but Im focusing on getting the offhand to do some easy pattern while the mainhand do a more serious move.

hey dave, I have an idea Wink. If you want to work on tutorials with no1 seeing them until theyre finished here, find a old topic that isnt active any more and that you posted on. modify your post there to store your tutorial, and just copy and paste into a new topic when done   grin

im working on a move i call the intervene aerial, roughly follow's the same ideas as my reverse rebounds but works with the spin rather than against it...(too hard to explain, need a vid)
beyond my abilities at the moment, but that what i thought about the over the shoulder aerial,,,

and another one i call the projectile pendulum, which is where i catch it on the front of my foot and catapult it over my head and catch it on my heel. (still working on perpetuating that one!)

also "under the leg foot switch"... (far to tech to explain in words.)

and ive got a few nunchaku/one handed front flip variations, some involving my feet.

and one that i call  evil THE SENTINEL  evil where i do a one handed handstand, and using the other hand i spin/roll the chucks around the arm that supports my weight and catch it back in my free hand, (like the move kriztov does where he perpetuates the arm rolls but upside down and balancing on one arm)then i finnish the trick by flipping of my hand, back onto my feet, and continue spinning the chucks...very tricky but it looks cool..

i should have a vid posted in a few weeks, (with any luck)

have i ever let you down before? rolleyes

ive got a realy crazy one... took me almost an hour to learn, but its not mastered, i do a round the back aerial, catch it on the bottom of my right foot, then throw it with my foot round my back again, and catch it with my right hand..not named it yet.. i figured it out just after i did my last post,(might be tricky for some people,, i can do it because i have size 15 feet and my big toe is bigger than my thumb)

cant wait to make my next vid..  grin

oh and i almost forgot,, the double underfoot jumping pass!
does exactly what it says on the tin! cheesy

Seeing as I haven't touched my chucks in ages, I've started getting back into them and playing around making some of the moves I already know a bit smoother. I'm also trying to improved my left hand performance as its still miles behind the right
